Social Media Specialist
Full-Time

Reports to: Marketing Manager.

As the social media specialist, you will create engaging content, manager our online community and develop/manage external relationships to effectively support, socialize and promote the Avron products and brand.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Management

  • Maintain all aspects of day to day community engagement on our social media channels, as well as other sites on the web, regarding conversations pertaining to our brand
  • Work with other internal departments to proactively secure opportunities to increase awareness and activities through social media
  • Maintain social media guidelines and policies in every outward interaction
  • Work with Marketing and Customer Service to create material for distribution on social media networks

Audience Engagement & Customer Service

  • Research and engage online and social media audiences on a daily basis to develop and maintain relationships with key influencers
  • Field all social media and online inquiries. Connect with internal contacts to respond to consumer questions, comments, inquiries via phone, web, email, and social media in a timely manner. Share customer issues with Customer Service for a fast resolution

Social Media Monitoring

  • Monitor trends in social and digital media tools/applications to increase traffic, consumer awareness and brand value, while identifying opportunities for consumer engagement
  • Set and track key performance metrics.
  • Monitor and report on brand conversations within the social space

Required:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, with a concentration in Communications, Marketing or Technology is preferred
  • 3+ years on online communications, social media and interactive engagement experience
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, LinkedIn and blogs
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, proven talent with social media writing
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving and conflict resolution skills in a fast-paced environment.
